ROCKHAPPENZ Public Collection

The Lords  —  a then newly-formed group competing in 1965's Big Beat Dance Band Contest, held in Canterbury Court, Christchurch
Chas Presland (Lead Guitar)(formerly with The Melody Makers), Pat McGuire (Rhythm Guitar), Jim Leys (Bass Guitar)(originally from Aberdeen, Scotland) and Les Douglas (Drums).

The contest was won by The Chants R&B, with Peter, Paul and The Pursuers second, and a Timaru group Beat Unlimited in third place.
