Link - at Christies Night Club 1973 |
||
Link appeared from the ashes of the Chapta breakup circa late 1972, and the original line-up featured Neville Claughton on bass guitar. Neville was replaced by Dick Whatson who was subsequently replaced by Bryan Gerrard. Drummers suffered a similar fate with original skin-man Craig Nicholson being replaced by Chris Fox, who later vacated the drumseat in favour of Ron Mahony. Link recorded for HMV, but their legacy was only one single Only Time Will Let Us Know // Highway Driver - The Day You Came Into My Life. The single performed creditably by reaching No. 17 on the national charts in August of 1973, and made it as an entry into the Studio One TV Series that same year. Link was resident at the Blenheim Road Motor Inn. A group of versatility who presented a sound musical programme ranging from standards to R&B |
