Les was such a dominant force at the Laredo, running a very tight ship with such groups as Dave Miller and The Playboys, Johnny Campbell and The Detours and The Vigilantes.  He strongly fancied himself as an interpreter of Elvis Presley songs, and not a night passed without Les doing his Elvis thing.
