Incarna a Christchurch rock group ...
Paul Schurgers (Guitar), Lisa Baxter (Vocals), Phill Keegan (Bass) and Greg Skinner (Drums)
With the heritage of Paul's guitar experience going back to the highly successful Christchurch bands Tempest and 7 Tongues and the inclusion of Phill Keegan on bass guitar and Greg Skinner on drums, Incarna grew out of the member's love of big groove rock and the need for self expression via original music. The latter part of 2006 was spent searching for and running in a special singer that not only matched the power of the music but could help drive it as well. That was in the form of Lisa Baxter who not only has a dynamic voice but also a personality to match. With a backlog of songs rehearsed, gigs in 2007 were regular and very well supported with an awesome audience response, the highlights being the supports of Jaggedy Ann and Slipping Tongue on their national tour. The band also concentrated on the wealth of new material on hand with all members contributing to the writing process. The end result being the five song self tilted demo which received radio play.
