The Hottentots  —  Bill Chalk (Lead Guitar), Trevor Allan (Drums), John Barr (Rhythm Guitar) and Leo Fahey (Bass Guitar)
The Hottentots originated in Timaru circa 1962/63 at which time Bruce Clarke was playing drums.  He was soon replaced by Trevor Allen.  George Kinch then featured on the drums, still with Bill Chalk, John Barr and Leo Fahey completing the strong lineup.
