The Heritage - Martin Brooks (Bass Guitar), Vern Park (Vocals), Fred Kradolfer (Rhythm/Lead Guitar/Vocals), Mark Loeffen (Rhythm/Lead Guitar), Rick Warren (Drums),

The Heritage played around Christchurch Youth Clubs in the mid-to-late 1960s, starting as a 4-piece unit with Vern Park (Vocals), Martin Brooks (Bass), Mark Loeffen (Rhythm/Lead Guitar) and Rick Warren (Drums).  Latterly Fred Kradolfer came in on Rhythm/Lead Guitar and Vocals.  Late in 1969 the band changed its name to Destruktion.  After disbnading in 1970, Heritage players Mark Loeffen and Vern Park teamed up with the popular Soul Distinction.  Mark Loeffen went on to play at The Sandridge backing Bob Manawatu, and later joined Gretel at The Marine Hotel in Sumner before moving to Hamilton.  Fred Kradolfer and Martin Brooks went on to play in Cage.  Rick Warren went to Auckland in 1970 to join the then popular group Amber. .
