A driving force in the halcyon days of early 80s punk, Desperate Measures played the Christchurch scene at gigs such as The Gladstone, The Star and Garter, PJ's Nightclub and the Student Union Ballroom.  They recorded a 7-inch EP at Nightshift Studios in 1982 and released the run of around 300 copies on their own Desperate Measures label.
