Geraldine-based band Basement around 1980, playing at The Crown Hotel, Temuka. The group was a popular local act at a time when every pub had live bands playing every weekend. In 1982 singer Jordan Luck, along with Timaru-based guitarists Steve Cowan and Brian Jones, moved to Christchurch to form a band called The Dance Exponents - later to become simply The Exponents. The rest, as they say, is history! |
