Rod Derrett  a.k.a. The Clown Prince Of Satire

Clement Rodney Derrett was born in Christchurch in 1930 and died on December 20th, 2010 at the age of 80.  He was a schoolteacher, and an original exponent of social parody circa the 50s and 60s, recording on Zodiac and HMV.  He was also a nightclub owner and performer.  He and his family relocated to Sydney, Australia in 1968.

Rod Derrett was a prolific recording artist in the early 1960s, with an impressiove array of successful recordings on both Zodiac and HMV.
