The Pistons - Rockabilly and Alternative Country ....
Arch Kuiper Guitar/Vocals, David Salmon on Drums/Vocals, Sandy Inglis on Guitar/Vocals/Pedal Steel Guitar/Mandoline/Harmonica, Rodger Myers Electric Bass/Vocals

The core of The Pistons music is Rockabilly and Altative Country, although with the addition of Sandy Inglis' multi instrumentalism their band repertoire extends to Rock’n Roll, Irish and Americana.  The Pistons formed several years ago, originally as a three piece featuring Upright Bass, Guitar and drums, but then expanded to include Pedal Steel.  Over this time they have been well received at Christchurch Venues such as The Richmond Club, Woolston Sports Bar, New Brighton Rockabilly Car Show, and Country Pub's such as The Colgate Tavern, The Famous Grouse, The Crate and Barrell and The Sheffield.  Sandy, Rodger and Arch have a wide experience in playing music ranging from Blues, Jazz, Rock’n'Roll and Country to covers on the Christchurch Dance, Club and Pub scene.  David received his musical education in the South Island but gained his experience drumming on the Auckland originals scene for 12 years with Bands such as Stolen and Outside In, before moving south and joining The Pistons.
