Mike was involved in a number of bands during the rock era, Soul Agents, Page One and he of course had a long-standing relationship with Remedy.

In 1974 Mike purchased Holden Sound Industries Limited - a Christchurch sound equipment manufacturer, from the founder Ron Holden, and went on to continuing success with a wide range of locally designed and produced sound reinforcement equipment, much of which is still functional to this very day.
