Jim Shields  —  drummer with City Lights, 4 Friends, Friends, KeyTrax, Viscounts, Lordships, Profile and Friar Tuck

Jim immigrated from Scotland to New Zealand with his family in May of 1957 at the age of 8.  He started learning drums from the age of 11/12, and had started into school bands by the time he reached 15.  He then joined The Profile and was a member of a few bands after that including City Lights, County Sherrif, Concrete Captain, Lordships, The Viscounts, Friar Tuck, Four Friends, Friends and Keytrax.  He had an amazing voice and was often lead vocalist while still on drums.  He stood in and helped many bands with either his voice, drums or gear, was a very reliable musician who just loved to play and sing.  Unfortunately that all stopped in the late 90s due to a serious deterioration in his health.  Jim sadly passed away on May 31st, 2003 at the very young age of 54.
