ChevyXpress is a re-branded version of the very successful PPR Express which in turn had been put together from ex members of The Chevrolets.  Phil Eizenberg (Lead Guitar/Vocals) has been cited thrice in the "Australian Encyclopedia of Rock" with The Ferrets, Jon English, Jimmy and The Boys plus many hit recordings as a session musician for the Polygram Label, as well as Musical Director for some of Australia's top acts, and lead guitarist for the Rock Opera Jesus Christ Superstar.  Peter Hall (Bass/Vocals) toured NZ with The Animals and others with his famous band The Bitter End and TRIX.  He had hit singles in New Zealand before arriving in Australia to take up music gigs here, and has published a book about his life there with his musician Father.  Roger Dunlop (Rhythm Guitar/Vocals) toured extensively in New Zealand before arriving in Australia and taking up playing in the Rock 'n' Roll scene on the Gold Coast.  He originally joined PPR Express as the drummer, but moved to guitar when Peter van Roy joined the group.  Peter [Clogs] Van Roy (Drums/Vocals) like Roger, toured extensively in New Zealand before arriving in Australia and taking up playing on the Gold Coast.

Obviously, all the boys bring years of experience to the band from playing in groups from New Zealand and Australia - The Chevrolets, GRD, Mighty Guys, The Bitter End and Sage to name just a few.  The band prides itself on their presentation, great gear (including PA and lighting) - and in the songs and music they perform.  Top venues ChevyXpress have played at so far in Queensland and New South Wales have been Twin Towns, Club Banora, Seachange, Paradise Bowls Club, Lismore Workers, and a large number of up-market private functions .....
